Yard Operative

We are working closely with a local independent roofing merchant as they seek to appoint a new Yard Operative to organise the Yard space, ensuring stock is appropriately managed and maintained whilst also supporting customers find the products they need.

As our Yard Operative you will enjoy:

• A basic salary up to £35,000
• Becoming part of an intimate team where your work will be appreciated
• Monday - Friday working hours (6:30am - 4pm)

What you'll do daily as our Yard Operative:

• Stock handling and organisation: Receive, unload, move, and store materials safely, ensuring the yard is tidy and stock is easily accessible.
• Loading and supporting deliveries: Prepare orders for customers, assist drivers with loading/unloading, and ensure timely, accurate dispatch of goods.
• Health, safety, and yard maintenance: Operate machinery like forklifts safely, follow safety regulations, and maintain a clean, organised, and compliant working environment.

Our ideal candidate will have experience with Building Products/Construction Materials and will hold a FLT License.
