Branch Manager

Our client, a large supplier of landscape materials are looking for a confident, experienced branch manager to work in their Windlesham Depot. With over 20 years in the industry this company are leading in their field and can offer a competitive package for the right candidate.

The role will include but isn't limited to:

  • Day to day running of the branch, ensuring a consistently high standard of customer service and operations. This includes building and maintaining relationships, carrying out all areas of administration and overseeing the logistics of the branch.
  • Maximising branch sales and profits and be able to demonstrate a clear awareness of sales targets. This will include motivating staff effectively to help them achieve and exceed set goals.
  • Carry out and overseeing monthly stock take as well as maintaining a consistently high standard of merchandising in the yard.
  • Review working practices to ensure adequate sales processes and systems are being adhered to.
  • Ensure relevant legislation and health and safety are being followed including training, accident and incident reporting, audits and appropriate vehicle upkeep.
  • Recruit, train and appraise performance of other employees within the branch.

The successful candidate will:

  • Show a clear ability to lead and manage staff appropriately by motivating, guiding and disciplining when necessary.
  • Have good negotiation skills and the ability to identify and act on sales opportunities.
  • Have a good understanding of processes and policies including logistics, stock control etc.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Have great organisational skills with the ability to multitask, plan and prioritise the work load and be able to work well under pressure.
  • Be computer literate with confidence in Microsoft office packages.
  • Be able to produce /interpret basic financial statistical information.
