We are proud to announce a fantastic position as Group Purchasing Manager for one of the leading roofing merchant's in the UK.

  • Full time based at our London Colney Head Office AL21DT
  • 42.5 hours per week 7.00am - 4.30 Monday - Friday.
  • Reporting to Area Manager & Managing Director

The role

  • Nurture relationships with our suppliers both current and new
  • Identify and research new supply chain partners
  • Liaising with our buying group partners, attending regular meetings
  • Ensuring purchasing targets are reached
  • Negotiate best possible value for money deals
  • Monitor industry trends and be able to react and adjust


The candidate

  • Needs to have buying experience for a multi-site operation preferably working in the roofing merchant industry
  • Highly organised individual with excellent verbal and written skill
  • Team player
  • Self-starter and able to work on your own initiative with target orientation
  • Computer literate (Excel, Power-point, Word)
  • Good understanding of supply chain management
  • Able to analyse data
  • Good overall grasp & knowledge of the roofing & construction industry
  • Willing to learn & at the same time impart knowledge to fellow management team members
