We are proud to announce a fantastic position as Group Purchasing Manager for one of the leading roofing merchant's in the UK.
- Full time based at our London Colney Head Office AL21DT
- 42.5 hours per week 7.00am - 4.30 Monday - Friday.
- Reporting to Area Manager & Managing Director
The role
- Nurture relationships with our suppliers both current and new
- Identify and research new supply chain partners
- Liaising with our buying group partners, attending regular meetings
- Ensuring purchasing targets are reached
- Negotiate best possible value for money deals
- Monitor industry trends and be able to react and adjust
The candidate
- Needs to have buying experience for a multi-site operation preferably working in the roofing merchant industry
- Highly organised individual with excellent verbal and written skill
- Team player
- Self-starter and able to work on your own initiative with target orientation
- Computer literate (Excel, Power-point, Word)
- Good understanding of supply chain management
- Able to analyse data
- Good overall grasp & knowledge of the roofing & construction industry
- Willing to learn & at the same time impart knowledge to fellow management team members
